The 4-H model has been incorporated
into a variety of programs to help meet the needs of today's youth and
to enrich our communities.
4 Habitat
Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, 4-H members participate in the
construction, interior design and landscaping of homes for select
Habitat families.
4-H Camps
4-H camps conducted by county 4-H programs or by cooperating groups
of counties.
4-H
LIFE
The 4-H LIFE program implements 4-H club activities and Building Strong
Families parenting classes inside three state correctional centers.
The program helps qualified offenders and their families maintain and
strengthen their relationships despite parental incarceration.
4-H Million
Trees
The Vision: 1 million new trees planted by 4-H youth across the United
States and Canada!
Afterschool Programs
4-H offers support for youth, parents and communities during critical
hours afterschool through an Missouri Afterschool Network and computer labs.
AmeriCorps*VISTA
In
collaboration with the Corporation for National and Community Service,
Americorps*VISTA volunteers work in partnership with county extension offices and
community-based organizations to connect youth and adults in Youth-Adult Partnerships (YAP) and introducing
Youth Entrepreneurship.
Global Education
Experience the world - host a family or become an exchange student.
Latino/Hispanic Outreach
Providing 4-H youth development programming for Latino/Hispanic
children, youth and families.
Move Across Missouri
Get up and get moving, a program for youth to promote a healthy
lifestyle!
Photo Corps
A select group of 4-H members, who are passionate about photography,
submit photos throughout the year to be used for a yearly calendar and
other 4-H publications.
Show Me Character
Based on
CHARACTER COUNTS!℠
and intergraded in the 4-H model, Show Me Character teaches young people
to make sound moral judgments.
SUMMERS @ MIZZOU
Educational summer camps at the University of Missouri for high school
students.
Video Corps
A team of 4-Hers building skills, exploring career possibilities and
capturing the 4-H world through their personal narrative.
Youth Futures
Promotes college as an obtainable goal for high school youth who are not
typically encouraged to attend college through on campus visits and mentor
support.
