4-H Poultry Contest Day and Training Workshop draws record attendance

Columbia, MO

With over 125 youth and parents, the 2007 poultry event was the best attended poultry contest and training day in the past 20 years.  Highlights of the day’s activity included workshops on judging, bird selection, grooming, show preparation and best dozen egg contest.  The judge for the Best Dozen Egg contest was Glenn Geiger, retired UMC poultry professor.  An Avion Quiz Bowl was conducted by Tony Perryman from the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
